About the Directors
Bronwyn Carey-Russell
Co-owner and Director since the founding of Dancin’ Mates in 1994, Bronwyn Carey-Russell is an accredited RAD dance teacher. She is delighted to share her love of dance as well as her extensive knowledge and experience with her students.
After receiving her Advanced Diploma at the Australian Ballet School, Bronwyn performed professionally both on stage and on screen; including with the Australian Ballet Company, Opera Australia, The Phantom of the Opera and Vienna Festival Ballet. Her successful career took her around the world including London, New York, Vienna, as well as in Australia.
Robert Russell
Robert Russell (BFA in Dance) is co-owner of Dancin’ Mates. Robert, who trained extensively in NYC and across the United States, specializes in Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre.
Robert’s worldwide professional stage credits include the musicals Cats, Oklahoma, West Side Story, Elisabeth and La Cage Aux Folles.
Robert is the creator of the DMADS exclusive dance syllabus offered to Dancin’ Mates students. He is proud to share his international expertise with his students.
